Will
the Manual Air Recovery System work on my Classic Range Rover? (1993-1995)
M.A.R.S.
will absolutely work on a Classic Range Rover. The Multi-Mode M.AR.S. is
currently the only system we have available for the Classics. The major
difference being the valve block is located under the frame rail on the
Classic, as opposed to, under the hood on the 4.0/4.6. You will also have
to find a place to locate the bracket on the classic because there is no
place to mount it on the core support like the 4.0/4.6. The bracket is simple
enough to mount just about anywhere. We supply 50 feet of air line so you
will have enough to mount it anywhere. There is no difference in the operation
or function of MARS. It is basically a different installation procedure.
What
is the difference between the Multi-Mode M.A.R.S. and the Single-Mode M.A.R.S.?
The main difference
between the Multi -Mode
MARS and the Single-Mode MARS is convenience. The Mult-Mode MARS uses a
T connection to connect the manual fill valves. This setup uses the existing
check valves in the valve block to hold air. MARS is installed once and
can remain connected even when the EAS is working. This is by far our best
selling system because it is there the next time your EAS faults.
The
Single-Mode MARS is connected directly to the air spring lines. You must
disconnect each air line from the valve block and plug it into the manual
fill valves. You must do this each time you wish to manually fill an air
spring. When the EAS fault is corrected, you must disconnect MARS and reconnect
the air springs to the valve block.
Do
you ship internationally?
Shipment outside
of the United States is never a problem. We know the Land Rover “quirks”
are not limited to NAS vehicles. All of our international shipping is done
via the United States Postal Service (USPS) because of their low postage
and reliable service, but we are more than happy to ship with anyone upon
request. We offer the USPS Airmail and Global Express Mail services. Airmail
service ($20) is usually delivered within 3 weeks and DOES NOT offer internet
tracking. The Global Express Mail ($35) has a 5-7 business day delivery
and can be tracked online. We always recommend the Global Express Mail because
you can track it online and delivery is much faster.
How
can you install MARS with only a screwdriver?
The
supplied air hose fittings in M.A.R.S. do not require special tools to install.
Connections are made by pushing the air line into the connector until it
stops. Once the air line has been pushed into place, it is automatically
locked in place by small teeth. To release a hose from a connector you must
push the collar of the connector in and hold it while you pull the hose
out. DO NOT PRY THE COLLAR. Connecting and disconnecting the air line does
not require a lot of force. The same procedure applies to the connectors
on the valve block.
